The Gujarat government has come up with a scheme to enable bright students from poor families to study for free in private schools.
Under this scheme 25% of the total seats of Std. 1 in all private schools of Gujarat are to be reserved for such poor and needy children and for admission in these reserved seats children are to be admitted free of cost on merit basis and all expenses of these seats are borne by the State Government.
