Rule-(problem of artical)-use of The

अक्सर तैयारी कर रहें students को यह उलझन रहती है
कि The का प्रयोग कहां करे और कहां नहीं इस रुल में
हम The का प्रयोग कहां करते है इस पर चर्चा करेंगे

अगले रुल में कहां नहीं करते है इस चर्चा होगी।

1-जब कोर्इ singular noun अपनी पूरी जाति
(whole class) का बोध कराये तो उसके पहले The
का प्रयोग करते है
example-
The cow is a useful animal
The horse is a strong animal
नोट-इसमें एक अपवाद यह है कि man , woman,
mankind भी whole class का बोध तो कराते है परंतु
इनके पहले The का प्रयोग नही करते।
2-कुछ proper noun से पहले जैसे-
(i)-Oceans and seas, example-The pacific ocean,
the black sea
(ii)-Rivers(नदियां)-example-The Ganga, The Nile
(iii)-Canals(नहरे)-e.g.-The Suez canal
(iv)-Deserts-e.g. -The Sahara deserts
(v)-कुछ देश जिनमे kingdom, republic, या बहुत से
द्वीपो से मिलकर बनता हो-Example-The united
kingdom, The Irish republic, The west Indies
(vi)-Mountain range-The Himalayas, The Alps
3-Famous पुस्तको से पहले The का प्रयोग करते है
e.g.-The Ramayana, The vedas, The Illiad
4-ऐसी चीजे जो अपने आप में unique हो।
example-The sun, The sky, The earth, The sea
5-Superlative degree के पहले The का प्रयोग करते
है-
e.g.-The darkest, The best
6-Musical उपकरण के पहले The का प्रयोग करते है-
e.g.- The flute, The guitar, The orchestra
7-Ordinal number(first, second, third....) से पहले
The का प्रयोग करते है।
e. g.- The first man, The ninth chapter
8-Before Professions-e.g. He has joined the
Bar,He has gone to the navey
9-जब Adverb का Double comprison हो-
e.g.-The more, The merrier,
The More he gets, the more he desires
10-जब एक adjective का प्रयोग collective noun
की तरह किया जाए जैसे
poor(गरीब) एक adjective है इसके पहले The लगाने से
यह एक collective noun बन जायेगा जिसका मतलब
होगा The poor(गरीब लोग)
e. g. - We should help the poor
11-जब किसी proper noun के पहले उसका
qualifying adjective आ जाये
example-The great Caeser, The late mrs, Indira
Gandhi, The brave Rana pratap
